Training and Development
District 2 offers opportunities for training and development to all levels of soccer referees and aspiring soccer referees. The District 2 Instruction program trains and certifies instructors to conduct clinics and testing sessions for referees, and certifies assignors to assign referees. Similarly the District 2 Assesment program trains and certifies assessors to evaluate referees and assist them in their development.
Instruction for Referees
The District 2 Instruction program offers entry-level clinics to referee candidates and in-service clinics to current referees. The program also conducts Fun Runs for physical fitness testing.
Trained and USSF-certified Instructors provide these services. The District II Instruction program is always seeking qualified instructor candidates. To become an instructor, please contact the DDI as follows, or download the current USSF Referee Administrative Handbook for details.
The District II Director of Instruction is:

Instruction for Assignors
The Referee Assignor Class is an official 8-hour USSF class that will teach you the protocols and rules around assigning referees to USSF sanctioned games. Many leagues and clubs are required to have a certified Referee Assignor.
This class is also a great way to network with other assignors and learn ways to make your job as an assignor easier.
Request a Clinic
Associations, leagues and clubs may request a clinic using our online District II Clinic Request Form.
Assessment of Referees
The District 2 Assessment program offers current referees the opportunity to be evaluated or assessed on games. Assessors are teachers and coaches of referees, and help referees develop their skills and improve their knowledge of the game.
To request an assessment or to become an assessor, read more information about the District 2 Assessment program.
