Entry-Level Clinics
Entry-level clinics allow candidates to become certified as USSF referees. There are three types of entry-level clinics offered within District 2: Grade 8 Referee and Indoor/Futsal Referee.
USSF Grade 8 Referee
The Grade 8 clinic consists of a total of eighteen (18) hours of instruction. Upon successful completion of the course that includes a passing score on a written test, candidates may register as Grade 8 Referees with the United States Soccer Federation for a registration fee.

Indoor/Futsal Referee
(Outdoor registration not required.)
The USSF Indoor/Futsal Referee may officiate games as a Referee on Indoor/Futsal games. They may not officiate outdoor matches, unless they have attained Grade 8 Referee certification separately. The Indoor/Futsal clinic consists of two eight-hour classes. Upon successful completion of the course that includes a passing score on a written test, candidates may register as Indoor/Futsal Referees with the United States Soccer Federation for a registration fee.
